It's all go!

Tuesday 13th September 2012

The Operations team deserve a medal, its half seven and there just leaving the office after rearranging ferries, coaches and taxis for a diverted returning Barra tour due to bad weather. All is in hand and our passengers are very grateful. We had fog to contend with last week in Penzance, now its high winds - but what can you do? We can control a lot of things but not the weather.
As I write this Ellen our Groups Manager is giving a presentation to the good people of the Tweedale U3A http://www.u3atweeddale.org/ I hope that the bad weather doesn't put off people turning out.
My talks to garden clubs start next week when I am in Wales speaking to Crickhowell Horticultural Society http://www.crickhowellinfo.org.uk/group/horticulturalsociety
Then Ellen and I have a stand a the Group Leisure Show at the NEC in Birminghan where we hope to meet lots of clubs and societies as this is a big part of the service we offer at Brightwater Holidays - catering for group travel arrangements. http://www.leisureshow.com/
Meanwhile in the office it is full steam ahead with our new brochure, marketing reviews, new reservations systems, staff appraisals, e-mailers, joining instructions for South Africa, a new kettle for the kitchen and trying to work out if I can get away with having the Rugby World Cup on the radio - it's all go!
A nice comment came in this morning
"I have always been a bit snooty about coach holidays, but will now have to eat my words! my holiday to Mull, Staffa and Iona was wonderful. Pauline (the Tour Manager) and George (the driver) worked as a very impressive team - I hope Brightwater Holidays continues to go from strength to strength"
Why thank you Mrs Lyle. http://www.holidaymull.co.uk/
